SEVERAL WAYS TO REACH GRINDELWALD ...

There is ample free parking at the hotel. In the summer, spaces can be rented for CHF 10 and
in winter for CHF 12 per day.
We have a free charging station for electric cars (cable type 2 available)

Motorways take you from Basel, Geneva or Zurich via Bern or alternatively via Lucerne via the Brünig to Interlaken (exit number 25). From there follow the main road to Grindelwald.

In Grindelwald follow the main road to the church, continue towards Oberer Gletscher, after 400m turn left at the signpost to the hotel (Kirchbühlstrasse).

Winter equipment, winter tyres and snow chains are necessary during the winter season (October to April).

Snow chains are mandatory.

Motorways are subject to charges in Switzerland. The fee is CHF 40.00 / year.

Vignettes are available at the national border, petrol stations and post offices.

If a parking space is required, we ask for advance booking so that it can be prepared.

Tour buses can usually turn directly from Obere Gletscherstrasse into Kirchbühlstrasse.

Longer vehicles (3 axles) follow preferably the Obere Gletscherstrasse up to Terrassenweg junction.
Turn there and back from the top into Kirchbühlstrasse.

We will be pleased to organise train tickets ICE from Germany to Grindelwald or from Swiss airports to Grindelwald. Just ask us!

International train connections (eg ICE) take you to Interlaken, from where the journey to Grindelwald takes about 40 minutes with the cogwheel railway of Berner Oberlandbahn.

Our hotel's shuttle bus takes you directly to Grindelwald station in the village centre and back.

The international airports Zurich-Kloten, Geneva-Cointrin and Basel-Mulhouse have direct railway connections to Interlaken - Grindelwald. The Berne-Belp Airport is connected to the railway network via the airport-bus.

Our hotel's shuttle bus (9 seater) runs during the rest of the year as required, especially for
arrivals and departures.

In the winter, buses from the Grindelwald ski bus network stop directly at the Hotel Kirchbühl.

Bus number 124 (Stutz – Station – Bodmi) stops directly at the hotel every half hour.

The Alpenblick bus stop on main line number 121 (Oberer Gletscher – Station – Terminal V-Bahn) is only a five-minute walk from the hotel and is served all year round by the Grindelwald local bus.
